About Me
My passion to become a veterinarian began as a young child. I grew up in a suburban neighborhood in New York’s Capital Region with many family pets, including dogs, cats, birds, and a guinea pig! In 2009, I moved to Ithaca to begin my undergraduate studies at Cornell University with the ultimate goal of attending veterinary school at Cornell. In order to prepare for veterinary school, I did everything from walking dogs, to working at Cornell’s Equine Research Park, to volunteering at Cornell’s Wildlife Health Center!
Why?
I have chosen to enter the profession of veterinary medicine because of my passion for practicing evidence-based medicine, serving the community, and providing compassionate care for animals. The fulfillment I derived from helping people and their pets by volunteering at Cornell’s local healthy pet clinic for low-income families inspired me to pursue a career in companion animal medicine. Leadership and compassion are two qualities that I have continually demonstrated since long before practicing veterinary medicine. The enthusiasm that has driven my lifelong journey towards a career in veterinary medicine, as well as my insatiable desire to learn, are two other qualities that I consistently and proudly contribute to the teams of which I am a part. I am eager to contribute these passions, experiences, and personal qualities to my current position at Thrive Pet Healthcare, as well as build on them as I continue my career.
